\u00a0It is an evergreen fruit tree and belongs to the citrus. The flowers are white, quite large and fragrant, and come out in spring and summer individually from the shoots. A small percentage of these flowers turn into fruits, while most flowers fall. *Fruiting of order 10% is judged a satisfactory production for our tree.<\/div>\n

\u00a0They grow in the sun and wind and are frost-protected. They grow in sunny, the planting locations will have to protect from wind and frost. It needs regular irrigation, especially in the summer months, and lubrication. Oranges are distinguished in the common varieties, the umbilical cords, the blood-colored ones, and the sweet ones.<\/div>\n

Merlin variety<\/h3>\n
\u00a0This variety concerns about 60% of the production in Greece. It has very tasty fruits, with a nice aroma and flesh without spores, which gives a moderate yield in juice with a slight bitterness. Their season is from November to March.<\/div>\n

Navalina variety<\/h3>\n
\u00a0Oranges of this variety are medium in size, with a thick skin (ideal for spoon sweet), apex, and pitted. Compared to Merlin they are juicier and less sweet. Their season is from October to January.<\/div>\n

New Hall Variety<\/h3>\n
\u00a0Its oranges, like those of the Navalina variety, are medium-sized oranges, but they are slightly oval, with a small apex and sweet flesh. Their season is from October to January.<\/div>\n

Valencia variety<\/h3>\n
\u00a0This is the most popular variety in the world as well as a hardy variety, which adapts easily to many soil types. Gives medium to large oranges, with smooth, thin skin and few or no seeds. With yellowish and very juicy flesh, intense taste – slightly acidic – is considered the best oranges for squeezing. Their season is from March to September.<\/div>\n
